SC strategy - Correct structures
I have been solving good number of SCs these days. I mostly go wrong when the given sentence is correct and does not require any changes. something always pushes me to think that the given SC question is incorrect. If no answer convinces me, I go on to read the choice A to check if it is correct. It works out many times when all the other choices are seemingly incorrect. But, problem arises when you have an answer which is damn close. As I am already thinking that the sentence is structured against the principles, I tend to choose the incorrect answer which is close but not correct. I think I need to start thinking that the given sentence is not always incorrect. If there is anyone reading this has anything to contribute, you are most welcome.

Powerprep Test1 (Quant - 45, Verbal - 28, Score-600)
I wanted to go to Visu and give Powerprep Test1. But, I thought that office would be a better place than visu. I started the test at 10:00 AM and tuned myself in very short tme.
Scaled scores are 45 (82%) and 28 (48%) in Quant and Verbal respectively. Total
score was just 600. I remember Kaplan's paper-pencil test that I took last week inwhich I scored just 600. Is this a barrier to break? I scored a scaled score of 44 - Quant and 22 - Verbal in the Kaplan practice test. But, with improved scaled scores, total score did not have any movement. The difference is Kaplan's was a paper-pencil and today's test was CAT and more importantly is from ETS. This should be considered for assessment than the previous test. I did not prepare much after the Kaplan's test. I have to do well in quant to get more than 50.
I will practice quant and SCs this week and next week. Error logs are on the way to be posted on the blog. I will do it when I have some time.

New blogger site
I decided to create a new blog and link the new blog to my existing blog. The new blog going to be only on GMAT preparation, strategies, resources and errorlogs. Whenever I find sometime, I will post all those posted on GMAT from my parent blog.
It becomes even much difficult for me to search through the posts to track back my scores, errors, strategies etc., if I continue with just one blog. Also, I felt visitors will get disinterested if I start logging errors, strategies which are written in english but sound Greek to someone not having any plan to give GMAT. Most of my friends feel OK, if not enjoy, reading my scores and analysis but strategies and errorlogs will be a boring thig to read. I know how it feels to be reading something that you do not want to understand.
www.prepgmat.blogspot.com is my new blogger site dedicated only for GMAT preparation. I do not think I will have a day when there is no happenning on both the fronts. I will have to work more to manage both the blogs.
